It was obvious that you put a lot of thought into what you wrote. I love getting different perspectives on BSG; I've changed my opinions in the past due to persuasive arguments people have made. As for being obscure, me too. (I'm not sure how much traffic your post will get from my rec, but I like having the link for my benefit.)
I'm not touching that Leoben comment, though :P Season One Leoben I have no issues with - he's great to write about as creepy villain. Season Three Leoben exists to die in my fic a lot ;)
Yeah, I have lots of people on my f'list who really hate him. (I'm very good about using lj-cuts if I'm going to talk about him a lot.) I've killed him quite a bit in fic too, though--it's always fun.
I've heard that the trailer some saw in the preview was slightly different to the Youtube one Having watched the YouTube one maybe three or four times shortly after it was posted, I wouldn't have noticed. I can't recall about that particular detail.
