I had some acquaintances over the other day. They hadn't seen my home before, and the first question Vee asked after the tour was "Where's the TV?"

That computer monitor in the office--that's my TV. Every once in a while I try fussing with the rabbit-ears antenna, then remember that it's pointless where I live. I don't have satellite or cable, so everything I watch is internet-based (Netflix, hulu.com, amazon.com, etc.) or from DVD's. I'm still mulling over the idea of buying a larger, high-def monitor, but my nineteen inch LCD (but not HD) monitor seems adequate. Until I visit my parents and feel extreme TV envy. That will happen again later this summer.

The one thing I really miss from TV channels: the evening news. Not for the information itself, but for giving structure to the day. It's a reminder to start making dinner, for one thing. Or to fall asleep on the couch while waiting for the weather portion, then wake up cranky after that.
