Do you have characters that you wish would die, not necessarily out of burning hatred, but because the narrative has led you to think it's likely? Or it would be narratively satisfying? Or you don't hate them, but they take narrative space away from your preferred characters?

For me the most obvious example a character I thought would die but didn't: Lionel Fusco on Person of Interest. I actually liked him well enough; the actor is capable, the writing was interesting... but that writing also led to a point where the narrative didn't need to focus on him, and where his redemption might have gone with a classic "fulfilled in sacrificial death" theme.
