The book cover for Deathless Divide is AMAZING. The two protagonists are both biracial women, one light-skinned. She's prim and proper in comparison to her friend, who is wearing practical trousers, as one ought while fighting the undead. Notice the blood spatters along the edge of her suit.

I almost bought the hardback copy of the book just for this cover. I went digital instead. You'll read my opinion later when I've finished reading it. In the meantime, go read the first book in this duology, Dread Nation by Justina Ireland. (FYI, if you're not interested in zombie stories, neither am I. This is a story with zombies rather than a story about zombies.)

Knives Out is a fun film. Not perfect, but a solid B, maybe even B+. If it ends up on one of the streaming platforms I pay for, I'll probably watch it again at some point.

Having read some of the articles linked here that critique Guy Ritchie's most recent movie The Gentlemen, I have thoughts. Maybe a separate post in a day or two. For now, I'll leave it at this: there's a reason why the only two movies made by him that I've watched are 1) a film I watched while stuck on an airplane for ten hours*, and 2) a film where I knew that he couldn't feature a bromance between two white men (because Aladdin doesn't include any white leads).

*Granted, I really like The Man from U.N.C.L.E., but... well, I'll save the rest of that sentence for the eventual post.
