Okay, y’all. As an Official Wimp, I’m asking: can I watch Haunting of Bly Manor? Horror isn’t my thing, for obvious reasons, but I’m hearing that HoBM is less horror and more… something else. And Rahul Kohli is in it! Who is a cutie-pie and funny to boot! So—if you have some deets to share about gore levels / jump scares / whatever, I’m open to spoilers so I can decide if it’s worth the risk to try watching.
Oh, hey, reveals for the Remix Revival - I wrote fic for, well… either Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel, given that both characters started on Buffy and then went to Angel. likeadeuce. Her writing for Faith is amazing, by the way. I peeked at her DW, where she mentions the stories being older, and how she wouldn’t necessarily write the same way now. Which I totally understand! Especially since my remixer also chose an older fic, and some of those writing choices I made back then do feel a bit dated now. But Likeadeuce has such stellar dialogue and pacing in that fic series; I heart it.
Anyway, it’s kinda cool that after originally wishing more than a decade ago that I had the guts / met the qualifications for participating in the BIG multi-fandom remix challenge, I finally did. And this was a good way to do it—I would never have written Faith (or Faith/Wesley) without a solid framework to start with.
(Well. Truthfully, I did write Faith/Wes fic once before—as comment-fic on someone else’s livejournal. So it was tiny, and has long-since disappeared from existence.)
*I feel like y'all oughta know that my fancy-shmancy title is from the e.e. cummings poem that gets referenced in the fic.
