3 things about TV (make a TV post)

1. My co-worker who once scoffed at Elementary--saying that the only reason they made Watson a woman was to create a Holmes/Watson romance--is completely on board with those two as best friends. Including statements like, "But she really does like working with him better than her other job!" Hee.

2. As for Person of Interest 2.11, it's an episode that I found difficult to watch, but really love in retrospect. (Difficult to watch because a) HARDLY ANY REESE and b) unrealistic high school classroom. B is nothing new for network TV, but A... well. In spite of how much I talk about Carter--and how much I'm about to talk her now--I'm really a Reese fan*.

So... Carter's "I crossed that line a long time ago" in combination with her actions puts her firmly in the moral good camp rather than lawful good. Which isn't to say that she will never have that role again, but that episode was a pretty firm declaration that she's completely committed to the utterly ridiculous Batman quest. Nice.

What I really wanna talk about, though, is how utterly smooth and prepared she was to act. That was startling--before this I wouldn't have pegged her as someone who could pull off a con job like that. I rather like it when a show can surprise me like that and still make it a plausible thing. Because once I started thinking about her job as an interrogator, I realized that of course she has to be able to con people convincingly. And apparently she was good at it.

And now we'll see some of that in action, with a careful tango of convince Donnelly and help Reese and I hope it's gonna be great. Before the show kicks us in the gut again and leaves us hanging for another two-week hiatus. ::sigh::

*In spite of being all about REESE REESE REESE, I don't feel like I have to talk about him, 'cause everyone else does. And because he usually gets more screentime and therefore more time for us to see his pretty eyes and attribute ALL THE FEELINGS to him. ::shrug::

3. Um... I may be writing baby fic. Or more specifically, pregnancy fic. Angsty, depressing pregnancy fic for a non-canon ship. WHY, BRAIN, WHYYYYYY?!?
