I've never been a big fan of the workaholic character who neglects his/her family life.
I agree I'm wary about where that's heading -- if she and CKR do not survive (relationship-wise) at the end because of her being too wrapped up in her work I will not be happy. But in a way I like the idea of her being compelled to stay on this case even though she was on her way out and has this other life calling to her.
