You are not alone in that! I always used to confuse Jackal and Condor as well. I have seen Condor but not Jackal but I will try to do that if I get the chance.

Yes, so much smoking in older films. Although I am still struck by the amount of alcohol drinking that goes on on screen today. I get that it an be an acting or writing crutch but they could be drinking anything!
