2) I baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!
3) #2 is a sign that cooler weather is finally here, because that's when I start craving more food. (Not that I can't eat cookies anytime--I can, but if the weather's cooler I have less guilt about using the oven and I really want baked goods, enough to actually bake.)

This is my default icon:
I like flowers. I can't grow them well (black thumb) but I enjoy taking pictures of them. A rose is the obvious choice to go with my username, so voilà. I've tweaked this photo a lot since I first started my LJ (almost a year ago now!). At first it was just a cropped and reduced photo. (Hooray for figuring out how to use Microsoft's Digital Image program.)
(Oh, and Rose is not my own name--I have an explanation here about how I chose the name.)
This icon is labeled 'wistful' in my userpics:
This statue is in the Louvre. I love the Greek and Roman sculpture collection there. I wanted an icon that looked thoughtful, and that reminded me of a favorite place.
So, how many Leoben icons do I have? Er... more than one. This picture is actually from Due South, but Callum looks very Leoben-ish in the photo. I snagged the picture somewhere online, lightened it and added the text. Made during the great Leoben love that dominated the first few months of my LJ experience. *g* (Notice that I haven't yet deleted the many Leoben icons... a clue that the Leoben love hasn't faded that much yet.)
I actually used my season two Battlestar DVD's to get this screenshot of Jean Barolay. I wanted it for when I posted that Jean and Leoben fanfic. (At this point it's still my favorite story of all that I've written so far.) I like the icon because that particular shot of Jean isn't commonly used among BSG fans. The coloring is mostly from that moment onscreen--I only tweaked it a bit.
Snagged this because I once wrote a Cally-fic and I like the text--it's good to be reminded of our fragility from time to time. (I also like Cally's character--some of the time.)
I grabbed this icon because I have a tendency to get pompous. It's mostly used for those over-thinky posts or comments. Heh.
One of my newest icons. There's been a lack of Anders in my userpics. I added the text to the base (the icon maker said it was okay!)--it's a quote from the movie Serenity, but I thought it fit Sam's experience well. (I may do more tweaking of the text--I'm not sure I'm happy with the font.)
