bsg-this week's epi; also, muppets!
So I thought about it.
I'm not sure why I'm posting anything else about "The Woman King." Lots of other people have said it better. Go look at
wisteria_'s lj, for example, or check out Television Without Pity's recap page. So: it was heavy-handed and Helo was even more perfect than usual.
What I did like: Tom Zarek addressing the potential for badness when Baltar's trial begins. I thought his statement was overly-dramatic, which I then thought was him being plotty with some evil plan that Laura wouldn't figure out until too late. I think I like that theory more than "he was scared." I'll just ignore Roslin and imagine Zarek being all twisty.
Helo shirtless. Twice. (Really, I was beginning to wonder if he had some horrible torso disfigurement. Even fat!Lee got more shirtless time than Helo until now.)
Finally getting to see some of the cultural differences between the different colonies. I wish the differences had been... deeper? Is that the right word? But still, a glimpse into what pulls the Colonials apart is a good thing.
eta: Oh yeah, and head!Baltar! I forgot how excited I was to see him until popping over to
natalexx's post. I love that tacky striped suit--and the non-greasy hair! More of him, please, and more of Caprica Six. /eta
What I wish had been true: iTunes episodes are a bit too quiet, even with my computer volume turned up to maximum. So when the woman we later came to know as King first started talking to Helo and Dr. Roberts, I though she was speaking a different language. And I got SOOOOO excited, mostly because
jashyr and I once had quite the nerdy discussion about that possibility. I'm very sad that I was wrong. (I mis-identified the group as Geminese in my comment on that page, should have been Sagitarron.) We language nerds need more shout-outs.
When Helo was arresting Dr. Roberts, I was really wishing the doctor would shriek, "They're all vermin! VERMIN!" as he was being dragged away (since they clearly weren't going for subtlety in the episode anyway).
Why do I have no resistance for the memes? Luckily for anyone reading this, I don't post about half the memes I fill out. I knew what the results were going to be before answering the second question... psychic, in tune with who I am, or just WAY too much tv growing up?
I don't agree with all of the details, but yeah. *facepalm* I really have far too much Fozzy in my personality, with only a dash of Kermit.

You Are Fozzie Bear |
![]() "Wocka! Wocka!" You're the life of the party, and you love making people crack up. If only your routine didn't always bomb! You may find more groans than laughs, but always keep the jokes coming. |
