needed: nap time

I worked a bit in my classroom today. Set up tables and such--I don't have desks, just two-seater tables and lots of chairs. Right now they're in very boring rows; I'm having to remind myself that boring is okay for the first couple of weeks. I'm also reminding myself that I don't have to decorate every square inch of wallspace; I can leave some parts empty for the students' work.

Anyway. I need to sort through my bookshelves and files and... y'know, this whole phase of getting ready for school to actually start is a bit maddening sometimes. What I really want is time to read through some of the pedagogy and curriculum texts that I've recently acquired. What I'm getting--a bunch of boring meetings telling me stuff that I already know.

Enough whining. Go click on my bsg:fic link on delicious.com and read some of the stuff I've finally had a chance to read and bookmark. Too many stories to link individually right now, plus I'm still not completely caught up on reading (and commenting!) and bookmarking.

There are a lot of cool looking things on your Delicious page I will definitely be checking out. It's also a much easier way to find your fic!

Btw, shameless self-pimpage, just in case you'd missed it, but I too liked [livejournal.com profile] demonqueen666's "Euterpe and the Seven Wonders of the World", so much so that I wrote a sequel to it you might like: "Days of Wonder: The Seven Wonders TourDiary!Fic". It's total crack!fic, of course. It has Leoben in various places, and is told from Gaeta's point of view, mostly.

Ah! While playing catch-up I've been missing other stuff! Thanks for the fic link!

[livejournal.com profile] siljamus has some BSG fics listed on her delicious.com account here (http://delicious.com/siljamus/bsg%3Afic), with lots more tags than I've ever bothered to create; so if you're looking for stuff to read by author, character or theme, she's got lots there.

Thanks! I'll definitely check that out.
