see you on the flip side
More Joy day. It's a great excuse to post a bunch of totally-unrelated links. Whee!
Picspam! of Lee Pace as Ned (Pushing Daisies).
One of my favorite essays about writing fanfic (and getting comments): Popularity and the Claw. It makes me giggle.
Cutest French kid ever tells a story.
On a totally unrelated note, WHY are there no pomegranates at the grocery stores?! It's the right time of year to buy them, but the last time I saw any at the store was before Christmas vacation. I WANT MY DIFFICULT-TO-EAT FRUIT!
Huh. That sort of kills the mood. Oops.
Also unrelated: here's my Battlestar Galactica season 4.5 wish list. With ideas that I may have stolen from others--at this point I'm not even sure. Please note, I'm unspoiled for the rest of the show. I've barely even watched any promos.
- an explanation for head!Six. I've seen some well-written theories in fanfic, but I really want the show to address it/her/whatever.
- an ending that doesn't make me want to cry buckets of emo tears. It doesn't have to be Pollyanna-ish or even happy. I just don't want them to be worse off than they are now.
- some kind of answer in dealing with the Ones, Fours and Fives. I hate to think of them out there without any 'ending' to that part of the series. If the show is going to keep them as a menace, then acknowledge it! Show us Cavil wearing his Indiana Jones hat, cackling evilly as he plots the demise of the other cylons and the rest of humanity... but don't ignore their existence. (Or kill them all and leave the fleet and the pretty cylons to live happily ever after. Possibly recruit the Fours to join the 'good guys' before killing all the Ones, because the Fours are pretty, too. Oh, and save a few Fives to make coffee for everyone else.)
- No more killing Kara Thrace. Or any other female characters.
- I want to know why/how the Dylan Four are 'different' from the other cylons. Hopefully it should be a fabulous idea that ties lots of loose ends together and makes me say, "It all makes sense now, doesn't it!" hee!
- Tory. Doesn't have to die, doesn't even have to go to jail, but some way or another she should be held accountable for her responsibility in Cally's death.
Okay, five six wishes seems like a good number. I'll probably think of something vital later on, but too bad!
New BSG tomorrow! New Lost next week!

SO much word. If the next major death is another woman, I will not be responsible for my
actionswank. :( (For these purposes Sam is an honorary woman.)- Tory. Doesn't have to die, doesn't even have to go to jail, but some way or another she should be held accountable for her responsibility in Cally's death.
I'm so terrified of how they're going to handle that.
*frantic nodding to everything else*

And I think you should give up on the idea right now that you won't cry buckets of tears. You will. Even if it's somewhat happy they're gonna twist the knife. (Whimpers in fear for Helo, because of all the people they could kill--aside from Kara who I'm positive they will not kill again--he will hurt the most and is probably most likely to bite it)

I'll just take hope in the fact that they couldn't leave him abandoned on Caprica at the end of the miniseries and had to bring him back for season one.
