one more voice in the chorus

I wasn't going to make a post about this episode because I took a short trip this weekend and while I was gone my f'list exploded with entries about it. Stop being so prolific, y'all are making me feel inhibited! hee! And then I had some bad news when I got back home, which threw me for a loop. But I just have to say...

Bwahahahaha, Kara managed to freak out Leoben. yeah, it's weird that he reacted that way, but I was nonetheless amused

Also, Kara finding her own dead body?! And then being all mature about it when she tried to talk to Lee? I don't even know what to think.

RDM managed to start doing one of the things on my wish list (explain what makes the Dylan Four different), but also ruin another (no more killing female characters!). Oh, Dee... *sniff* I liked Anastasia Dualla.

Tigh was just awesome.

I'm curious about some of the finer points of the 13th colony, the Final Five cylons, children born via sexual reproduction, and so forth. Such as who exactly inhabited this Earth? Only twelve cylon models? Only those five?!! They had to have sexual reproduction, which means that they aren't all identical, right? So who gets downloaded? Why those four? or five...

As for Ellen, well, at least the final cylon is female, which gives a bit more gender balance to the twelve. And I don't automatically hate the idea--I'm curious what they'll do with it. Is she going to be back now? Here's what I said almost two years ago in my post about 'Crossroads, part II':
The final cylon: Kara? Laura? Ellen? Oh Lords of Kobol, no! Drunken, adulterous Ellen who downloads and comes back after you kill her?!
Hehehehe. Shall I go around now and claim that I predicted the final cylon?
*snickers*

Hm, rereading the rest of that post, I was reminded that Laura Roslin also had a visible reaction when the fleet jumped to the magical cylon-activating nebula. She swooned in CIC. No explanation ever given for that, though it could've been the chamala, I suppose.

And now I think I'll go into avoidance mode by reading one of the many books I bought this weekend. New books!
