We know Sam is a toaster with a heart of gold, but Seelix has seen the mass graves, as it were. I could have lived without the romantic betrayal element, even though I get that was mostly a front - the little bit of sincerity is so cliche and unfair to Seelix. But whatever.
Yeah, I have to handwave Diana's little speech, since her main job was simply to distract him while the others grabbed Anders from behind. And it's not like the show didn't go there before--there was an established flirtation back when Sam was grieving for Kara. And yes, Seelix has never loved the cylons. Just because all the Dylan four worked in the resistance doesn't mean they get a free pass. :(
