I know! It's sort of a joke in my LJ that any secondary female character that I've written is doomed, because since season four started, they've killed off Cally, Jean Barolay and Dualla... and I wrote fics from their POV. But I thought Racetrack was safe until I watched this episode! Ack! I figured it was going to be Seelix next... not that I wanted that, either.

It really isn't that big of a shock, though. Racetrack helped in the mutiny that got Laura Roslin out of the brig. She has no love for the cylons, like many other pilots. And the mutineers really do have a point--at least, some of them do. I think the remaining Sunshine Boy (Gage? I'm not sure of his name) is just ready for anything that makes him feel like he's getting payback for real and imagined slights.

I wonder if Hamish is going to live?
