No crying allowed. Sniffling acceptable.
Okay, so I was writing fic and, um, possibly crying just a little as I rewatched the pertinent parts of the Battlestar Galactica finale and as some of you already know, I hate to cry, so then I decided to distract myself by rereading livejournal entries and then I remembered: (okay, first I remembered I'm supposed to use periods now and then, but that's not the point) I meant to do a fic commentary.
Also I remembered that I wanted more distraction from potentially depressing fic, so now you (fine reader) have two things you may do if you choose to comment here.
1) Tell me a fic of mine for which you'd like a commentary. All of my fanfiction is listed here.
AND/OR
2) Prompt me for a ficlet--characters or pairs, a word or phrase. I'll try and write one hundred words for anyone who comments.

And thanks for your kind words about my ficlet. I'm still simply pleased that people enjoyed it. :-)

I dunno. Fic commentaries aren't so much my thing. I kinda like reading them but I kinda like my own thoughts about the fic a bit better. I feel that way about DVD extras too. I like to hear about writing but not such much all the details. I'll read them but I'll let others prompt you with that.
Ficlet. Hmm. Here you go. Six on Cylon-occupied New Caprica. Prompt: Best laid plans.
Have fun. Oh, forgot this: *hugs* Contact me if you want to talk more about your fic and/or need

The sad-making story is done! I just can't decide if I should post now or wait until after the remix stories are posted and the reveals have been made. There are a lot of connections between the remix fic and the one I just finished, so I'm considering waiting. (Those connections are actually part of the reason I resisted using the POV I finally chose for the remix. Because I had already started the sad-making story before that and knew they would overlap a bit.)

I think you should wait so all associations can happen. :-)
Off to read ficlet now!

Um, really any commentary would be great, but I'll suggest Fairy-Tale, Ending; Bound, and Jealous Gods. Oh, and maybe Mirage because I wasn't entirely sure I understood that one. *helpful*
Ficlet: Kara/Sam or just Kara, up to you. Prompt: sunlight. Because I can see the sun now! :D

I'm not sure which story to do the commentary on! Maybe I'll just have to do two commentaries.
*hums "You're so vain"*

As for prompts...how about that time Leoben gave relationship advice. Or, and I swear I was going to ask this before prolix_allie used that icon, Hera, prompt: curiousity.

Huh, I'm surprised at seeing Four Mythology fics. It's been over two years--I don't even know if I can remember that far back! *g*

So tough though for me to even pick, how will you ever decide? ;) I mean, I think most of your stories would make for fabulous commentary, 'Into the Underworld' was another I almost listed that hasn't even been mentioned!

Kara and Tory and Cally and Seelix. Possibly setting off bombs. That would be nice. =D

I may find out that writing a commentary just isn't my thing. Or I may just be suffering from "waiting to post that fic I have finished" block, and once I can post it, I'll be ready to write something else! *g*
I have a post about writing Prophecy here (http://rose-griffes.livejournal.com/51304.html), but it's not a commentary. More a retelling of how I started writing fanfic in the first place, and a little bit about that story specifically.
