more Yuletide story recs
More story recommendations for Yuletide 2010.
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (Abridged), five chapters of extremely silly mocking of current writing (including many internet tropes). Fun!
Ladyhawke
Both stories written for this movie were lovely. (I can barely remember the movie, but the basic premise is probably all that's necessary anyway.)
The Sun If by Night, the Moon If by Day. Etienne of Navarre during the time he was still cursed.
A woman's whole heart. Isabeau after the curse was finished.
Frasier
Guns 'n' Neuroses. Here's the summary: Niles and Frasier, hunters of the supernatural. Hee! (I know a bit about Supernatural due to fannish osmosis. That was plenty of information to negotiate the ins and outs of this story.)
fairy tales
Thicket, a haunting new telling of Sleeping Beauty.
A Dance in Iron Shoes. This starts where the Snow White story ends, only now the princess needs to save herself from her prince. The story has a sinister tone (creeeeeeepy prince) and a heroine who lives up to all of her potential.
Gingerbread Betrayal, where Gretel never forgets why she was in the woods in the first place...
Anne of Green Gables
Star of Morning. Anne and Diana have a moment right before Anne's wedding.
Doomsday Book
Wonderful Things, a short fic about Kivrin and fairy tales and not-happily-ever-after.
The Hunger Games (yes, another story in this fandom)
This Is Why We Fight, a look at Peeta's thoughts years after the Games.
The Winslow Boy
Up in the Gallery, with Catherine Winslow surprised and pleased at a change of heart by Sir Robert.
Calvin and Hobbes
This kid I once knew, a story about the 'real' Suzie and growing up.
another Old Spice commercial fic:
Smell Like a Yeti (or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Old Spice). "As he was putting the finishing touches on the salads he'd made to match precisely each child's dietary needs and personal preferences, the Spicephone rang." *giggles* And there's a robot butler, a Yeti, ninjas, and the president with a bloody katana.

Actually, your recs caused a debate between Daybreak and me over whether you had guessed the authorship of any stories. (You've recced her last-minute gift fic and the story I wrote for my assigned recipient.) Hee!

(And yes, knowing which stories are mine, it does seem fairly obvious... after the fact.)

And thank you, Rose, for being there so I could secretly squee with someone before reveals. :-)
Thanks for the rec, Silja!
