But this is hard work!
I finally started a del.icio.us account, using rose_griffes for the account name. So far I've done nothing but link and tag fanfic and I'm not even close to being done with that. I keep going back and editing the tags on what I've already linked, and now I'm adding in character tags too. Someone stop me! I’ve spent most of the afternoon and evening sitting in front of the computer! It’s a good thing I went to the gym earlier today. (Speaking of that—it’s just weird that an outdoor pool in Texas can actually feel a bit too cool in July.)
Anyway, in the midst of this bookmarking frenzy I realized that I never bragged about a fic written for me.
natalexx wrote a BSG/Firefly crossover called Any Ruffian of the Sky (two parts) last summer. Recently (as in sometime in the last two months but I don't remember exactly when and I'm too lazy to go look) she asked for writing prompts and said that we could ask for a follow-up fic, so I asked for more Kara/Mal. This was the result: I get the urge for going but I never seem to go. Having people write fic for me is so fun! and not nearly as much work as writing it myself! Yay! (And Kara/Mal is an awesome pairing)

I use Mozilla Firefox for my internet viewer; del.icio.us has updates for Firefox that allow me to add a new link with just the click of a button (and a few seconds to label and name the link). The only thing is it's important to have some plan in mind for 'tagging' the bookmarks--giving them labels to use when sorting--and 'bundling' the tags. If you look at my link you can see that so far I have bsg characters/pairing on most of my fics, then I bundled the character tags into one group called "bsgcharacters."
The plan is to bookmark a lot of other things besides fanfic; that was just my starting point.

As for laziness, remember how much free time I have. Actually this is the laziest summer I've ever had in all my years of teaching. Really I should be doing things like organizing bookshelves, filing papers... somehow that doesn't sound very appealing.

Hee-- *writing* fic for other people is actually really fun, too, imo.

Definitely. Now that it's started it'll be reasonably easy to save more stuff there... and my love for Firefox has greatly increased.

Well, yeah... but it's so cool getting fic, it's like a present!
Enjoy your lazy summer. I have residual guilt, but I think I'll get over it. Heh.
