Dear Sam Anders and Jean Barolay,

You are both very pretty and awesome and traumatized and I really do want to know more about your adventures on (old) Caprica. But can I finish some other story first? There are several stories about the resistance on Caprica, and even a story about you two specifically. I've written a ficlet (or two) myself. But there's hardly any fic about D'Anna/Three, and I don't know of any other crossovers featuring Martha Jones and Anastasia Dualla. Could you let one of those stories ahead of yours, please?

Besides, I don't even have a copy of "The Plan." I'm not sure I want a copy of the "The Plan," though I'm about to add it back into my netflix queue just for you, Sam and Jean. In the meantime, it would be nice if the two of you could be quieter while planting bombs, gradually descending into quiet rage, and debating the whole sex or not question.

So. Got any thoughts or observations about Three/D'Anna that you want to share? I really want to finish either her story or the Martha and Dee story before halfamoon finishes this year.

I'm trying to write D'Anna fic. *sigh*

I have no icon for D'Anna. Which is connected to how many awesome women were on BSG more than anything else.

I don't have a solo one of her, sadly.

And I know writing her is hard! I've only ever managed one ficlet plus a minor role in another porn fic somewhere. But I'm so excited for someone else to take up the challenge because she's awesome and deserves fic. *g*

D'Anna fic!!! Yes!!!!!!!! I've actually been trying to do a post on her for the awesome_women comm, as an underappreciated character. I've got lots of thinky thoughts on her, but am struggling to find photos and quotes. (know any good BSG script websites?)

What gets me the most about D'Anna is that she is such an intense fanatic, who obsesses over something completely and gives herself over to it entirely. She will screw over herself and others to reach a goal. And yet... her obsessions are very changeable. One day it's the Final Five, the next day it's Hera, the next it's Earth. Loyalty ain't really her shtick, though devotion is.

You could try this one for scripts (http://www.twiztv.com/scripts/battlestar/). There are mistakes but it's got a general sense for most of the episodes almost through mid-season four. (A friend of mine swears she got a virus from that site, but I've never had any problems. So make of that what you want.)

I'm guessing you're already aware of it, but the Battlestar Wiki (http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Main_Page) is helpful for the basics.

Thanks -- that's the site I've been using, but they're missing some D'Anna episodes and I haven't found any of the quotes I'm looking for. So frustrating!!

Btw, I'm always careful about where I click on that webpage -- it has opened pervasive popup/popunder stuff on my computer that, if not a virus, was highly annoying.

Nope! Sam/Jean! You know I always shipped them from the moment I saw them together. Oh! That's an awesome story you linked to. I have to read it again because I love it.

I have a copy of The Plan. Why? Because long ago I started a vid with these two and they are pretty in it. True story. :-) Don't know if I'll ever finish it but again, they are very pretty. :-)

I do not understand why these two aren't shipped more! Heck, even before Kara! Sam is too pretty for many to have resisted him!

I actually ripped the entire thing when I rented it from Blockbuster when it first came out. If I knew how to put it back together for you and upload it (my ripping software chops it up) I certainly would.

halfamoon? Finishing genfic for neglected female characters? (Jean also qualifies as a neglected female character, but this story is Sam's POV. And really, Jean is only as neglected in fic as she was on the show, so there's not so much of a disparity like with D'Anna and with Martha Jones.)

Oh, yeah, technology is frustrating. If you find out how to do it, let me know, but don't go to any trouble. (If the answer fell into your lap tonight, yay. Otherwise I'll just wait on Netflix. And, uh, wait 'til one of those other stories is done. Sorry, Sam and Jean and DB!)

Hm. I'm thinking maybe so? Which is weird and inexplicable. Such pretty people! That's the only one I have saved to my online bookmarks, at any rate. But there has to be more somewhere besides that story and my one or two commentfics with them, right?

Ooooh, D'Anna fic! I don't have any observations, just that I'm intrigued since she doesn't get much attention. Even though I do prefer Sam/Jean...oh they are so close to being an OTP <3

Jean/Sam is sooo obviously begging to be a pair. They're teammates! And friends! They survived the apocalypse together and fight against the cylons! They're good for each other!* If it weren't for that pesky Kara/Sam ship that I seem to prefer, I'd be such a huge Jean/Sam shipper.

*Not that fandom often cares if a couple is good for each other or not. I like it, though.
