Today's random bit of advice:
To all of the fanfic writers who feel the need to post an explanatory comment about your story, please note the following: bear with me is the expression you want to use. It means... have patience, work with me... you get the idea. It's what you intended to say. Unfortunately you typed "bare with me." Whether I know you or your work from previous experience or not, I have no intention of removing my clothing while you do.

Speaking of crack, bsg_crack is a new comm dedicated to BSG fanwork of the crackish sort. I'm anxiously waiting for their crackfic list to be posted; maybe there's some stuff there I haven't read yet.
