ME ME ME

Two nice things at work today:

1) We had the "summative conference" for my yearly evaluation, and my evaluating principal said lots of nice things about my work.

2) Having already decided that it's worth it to me to pay my own way to a particular teaching workshop this summer (not enough money in the department budget, but I really want to go to this one), I found out that I'm getting a bit of extra money from work--totally unexpected. It's not enough to cover all that I'll be paying for the workshop, but every bit helps.
