my garden has abandonment issues

I pulled weeds for ninety minutes this morning and my fingers are chafed, even though I was wearing gardening gloves. Ouch

Observations from summer traveling:

- Having internet access doesn't do much good when there's little free time. If you have any new links to stuff I should see, feel free to add them here, where comments are screened and you can link to your own stuff without anyone knowing--or just give me the news that I missed. (I haven't been keeping up very well with anything, including the rewatch that I organized of The Sarah Connor Chronicles.)

- Gardens don't do well without water. Oops.

- My nieces and nephews are still super-cute and fun.

- I'm really glad to be home with my own mess and my own cat.

The cat has decided to forgive me. Sort of. Hee! (I need a userpic of current cat. But I'm feeling lazy, so it's not going to happen at this moment.)

I tend to forget to water the garden even when I'm home, so I'm not sure how much better it would have done if I'd been here...
