five (more) things post

1. Copying half of my LJ reading list by linking to this: TRAILER FOR THE HUNGER GAMES MOVIE. Aaaah, can't wait!

2. BSG stuff: Do you like those cylons? Love those cylons? Come hang out with Humanity's Children.

3. I am an evil author. Mwah hah hah hah! (You'll just have to wait and see. Past 7000 words on Sammy's story right now.)

4. Um... tv? Oh yeah, I didn't miss Revenge last week. Which is to say, there was no new episode and I didn't get annoyed by that. I did wish for new Person of Interest. Batman wins, I guess. Heh.

5. Time to watch last night's Once Upon a Time.

I haven't missed Revenge at all. But I did like last night's Once Upon a Time!

I liked OUaT fine, but I preferred the previous week. Snow White making up a snarky nickname for the man who eventually becomes her one true love? And then continuing to use the nickname? And they pointed weapons at each other and saved each other, and... and I'm wildly predictable about my pairing likes.

Mm, the trailer got me all excited because I wasn't sure how I felt about the movie and the castings.

Yeah, same here; it's always disconcerting to see only pics, because the faces don't match what I imagined, but seeing it like that? I'm CAPSLOCKY EXCITED!

I was all WOOOHOO-ing when I saw the trailer and I kept on rewatching it over and over. Hah.

NGL last week when I was on travel I thought I was missing PoI and I WAS DISTRESSED. And then I kept refreshing the download comm where I usually could find it and IT WAS NOT THERE. Approximately thirty billion years later after being rageful that nobody had uploaded it anyplace, I found out it was a repeat.

THIS SHOW, DUDE. I DON'T EVEN KNOW.

HG looks really good, i.e. that they haven't messed about with the plot or twisted the story into looking like pathetic cheese as directors seem to have a habit of doing with a lot of YA books. Mind you, I doubt the story in this instance allows for that, seeing as most of the characters die pretty awfully.

Yup, I'm pleased that things appear pretty much as written. (Collins was a screenwriter at one point, which might factor into how well her books translate to a visual medium.)
