TV and the not-writing update
Unless I write about ten thousand words in the next week or so (hahahahha, right) there's no way I'll finish popcorn fic before season two of Person of Interest starts. *sigh* I'll still write it. I already know how everything goes. (Okay, I don't know how one particular plot point is going to work out beyond "Things go BOOM!" but I know how everything else goes.) Including the excessively sappy stuff at the end, and since I want said sappy stuff to exist (somewhere outside of my brain and my notes), it will get written. Just not completed before season two starts.
I have an equation: big shiny TV + blu-ray player that connects to the internet = me watching a bit more TV now and theninstead of writing, oops. Netflix really wanted me to watch Better off Ted, so I've tried three episodes and... eh. Does that whole "affair with co-worker, y/n?" subplot die down? Because that's already tiresome. I like Ted and Rose and Veronica, though. And I like Linda too, but not when she's pining in Ted's general direction.
And I finally got around to finishing season one of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I thought I had watched the finale, but I hadn't, and now I'm glad I waited, because it looked SO PRETTY on the big screen. Especially the parts where the moon was out and everything was in shades of gray except for the fire-bending. Ready to move on to season two!
Blu-ray players also play discs. Heh. Turns out the Person of Interest blu-ray discs do offer a feature that the DVDs don't have: audio tracks in French and Spanish. It ishilarious! quite odd to hear Carter and Fusco speaking in French.
Oh, that reminds me: time to order the TV antenna that's supposed to work for my area. Yeah, I might want to do that right now.
