because I don't talk about TV shows enough. yeah.
BSG: So I stayed up late Monday night and finally watched "Rapture" with only one reception glitch. My receiver/dvr is working as a receiver only right now... new one expected by end of week. I'm not sure if it was the late hour, or the enforced commercial-watching ("natural" male enhancement, heh), but lots of things struck me as amusing during this episode.
CapSix to Sharon--you're so awesome! To Boomer--you're so not! Don't try to snap necks in front of CapSix, 'cause she'll show you how it's really done.
Lots of redshirts on algae planet waiting to be shot.
Dee giving the silliest slap to Kara. Really, Dee, put some muscle into it!
Planetside--where did Cavil come from? He's like magic!
Tyrol knocked out Gaius! Sweet!
Oh Lee. You are dumb. Stop looking at the woman you won't cheat with.
Oh Dee. I think Lee's biceps are as big as your tiny head.
The "Ionian Nebula." Another nebula?!? I think this is the third one.
All the little laughs aside, I did enjoy this episode. It moved lots of things forward but left enough cool stuff unanswered. I *tried* hard to stay spoiler-free, so I was surprised by:
Helo actually shooting Sharon--gah, didn't see that coming. Yikes, blood on the wall. I'm still on Roslin's side, and I wish she could have gotten Helo to understand her point, but he truly doesn't get it. Plus, I wasn't expecting Hera to be rescued until later this season.
Wow, Bill Adama can really hold a grudge.
Boxing D'Anna/Threes. Interesting. I wonder who/what she saw, and I'm *really* curious if a human would have had the same vision as she had. Or if it would have meant something different to a human. Hmm.
CapricaSix coming to Galactica.
I'm glad we don't have silly temple/eye/supernova/mystic vision stuff every single week. I don't think I'd have much patience for that. I'm interested to see where we're going with the Kara-eye-destiny storyline. Still trying to remain semi-spoiler-free!
Speaking of spoilers... yeah, I should have known they would cut the Leoben-on-planet scene. *cries bitter tears* How much money does the Sci-Fi channel pay for RDM's decisions to cut already-filmed footage?
Also? Even with commercials, Veronica Mars is awesome. That is all.

Nope, not at all.

Hey, you're right! What the hell was he doing there? There must have been a whole storyline cut out there, where Leoben and Cavil follow D'Anna and Baltar or something. I must finish listening to the podcast to see if RDM mentions this.

fanwank: Well, of course Cavil and Leoben were there (with their guns, hat and ugly pants) as a line of defense while our chosen-y heroine and her pet human went to the temple. /fanwank
Y'know, I'm fine with the idea that Cavil was there the whole time... I just think it might have been smart to actually show that, or allude to it in conversation, so it wouldn't cause a massive case of giggles in viewers like me when he's suddenly in the temple.
