me me me me

Did I ever mention I saw the movie Twilight last week? I was hit by a giggle-fit a few times, but it wasn't bad. Not particularly good either, but more than tolerable and pretty fun to watch with other slightly sarcastic females. I really hope they tone down Edward's lipstick in the next one. I wouldn't have laughed nearly as much if he didn't look a bit like a Cover Girl.

I feel like talking about me. Have a meme.

4 Jobs I've Held:
1. cashier at McDonald’s. Yes, really.
2. newspaper delivery. I rode my bicycle around the neighborhood. I was fourteen years old.
3. salesclerk at a kiosk in the mall over Christmas vacation
4. teacher

4 Films I Could Watch Again and Again:
1. The Princess Bride
2. Jean de Florette/Manon des Sources. Yes, I'm counting them as one, so what?!
3. The Bourne Identity
4. The More the Merrier. Here, have the the porch kissing scene. I haven't actually seen the movie in years, but there's neck-kissing! *swoons*

4 TV Shows I Watch:
1. Pushing Daisies
2. Lost
3. Life (I'm behind!)
4. Thirty Rock (also behind!)

4 Places I've Lived:
1. Norman, Oklahoma
2. Béziers, France
3. Hays, Kansas
4. Los Angeles, California

4 Favorite Foods:
1. bean salad
2. apple crisp
3. many varieties of burritos
4. pasta with almost anything

4 Websites I Visit Everyday:
1. yahoo mail
2. Livejournal
3. wordreference.com and/or dictionary.com
4. delicious.com

4 Favorite Colors:
1. sky blue
2. royal blue
3. pink (to wear, because I look good in it)
4. turquoise

4 Places I'd Rather Be Right Now: note--answers influenced by cold weather :)
1. the Yucatan peninsula
2. San Diego
3. southern Italy
4. Morocco

4 Names I Like But Wouldn't or Couldn't Use Myself: (this is a weird category...)
1. Princess
2. Starbuck
3. Lilian
4. Buster

And my 4 blogging friends that I'm tagging are:
Feel free to tag yourself!

Wow, cashier at McDonald's? No matter what age, that's gotta be rough. On the positive side, free fries! The Bourne Identity? Really? I've never seen any Bourne thing because Matt Damon is totally uninteresting to me. Saw him in Good Will Hunting and I was more interested in Robin William's character.

Oh noes, after BSG is done we won't have any shows in common! Except crazy Lost if it can hang on to my affections. I had a burrito for lunch. I think. How is it different than an enchilada? Bigger, not fried? Mine had salsa verde. Not sure if I like burritos. I think I'm indifferent to them.

I think it's cute that you visit your recs lists daily. Or at least a recs site. I don't visit delicious that often but as a reccer I do go there. So we will have things in common. Well more than just that, though for now, recs yay!

You like Princess? I feel this is a category for pets maybe? Like Cosette. I like the name a bit, but I wouldn't name a human it, you know?

Writing this comment was more fun for me than trying to do the meme!

Edited because it's Maybelline, not Cover Girl. Hee! :-)

I love that icon. Though it needs to sparkle more. *g*

Yes, really! I've never had much interest in Matt Damon either but he's just about perfect for the role of Jason Bourne. And I wouldn't have said that going into the movie, because I did actually read the book years ago. The two sequels weren't bad either, but I think the first one is the best. Moment I fell in character love--right before the big car chase scene in Paris, Bourne actually looks at a map. *g*

Well. It's also where I have dictionary.com and wordreference.com bookmarked. Heh.

I didn't really know what to do with that category. So I stuck that in there as a place to start.

Oh, woe! So what else are you watching besides Smallville and BSG? (not Heroes, obviously... *g*)

Better? It's so funny that these exist. Even funnier that I do not even know this book or movie at all. I skimmed it for ten minutes in the library and everything else I know is from LJ. I don't get the sparkles but that's okay. Sparkles are usually cheery!

I think I watch four shows:

BSG
House
Smallville
Lost
Degrassi (only like every six months in a crazy marathon)
L&O: SVU (only when it's not being stupid and especially when Katee or Trucco is on. Like tonight.)

I did watch America's Next Top Model this season. I might try Damages next season. I wanted to try Prison Break but it had the same timeslot as Heroes and I think I can't get back into it. I watch the odd hour of Gossip Girl. I watch Degrassi online in huge chunks. Lost is on so rarely and its timeslot changes so I'm not sure if I count it. Really, once BSG goes, I think House and Smallville are the only things I'll keep up with.

Heh. I really couldn't remember what I watch. But I have icons! Sometimes having an icon is more important than actually viewing the show. Case in point, this one. :-)

But you and I will only have Lost! Oh noes!

*snickers* You found a sparkly one! HEEEE! I think I'll keep this lone Twilight icon for a while because it amuses me. (on post and this comment)

I'd keep up with L&O:SVU if it were available free online (legally). At least I'd make a nominal effort, because I do enjoy it. But yeah... only one show left in common after BSG, and only if you stick with it! Oh my!

I know! Thank goodness we have other things in common. Like writing. And giggling. And other things. As for me, I like watching shows in real time. It's a test of how much I like them, will I rearrange my schedule to see them? If I won't, I probably don't care for them all that much.

Lost I catch up with a lot online. Degrassi too, since it's only a 20-minute show. L&O has been very inconsistent lately. Sometimes really crazy and really badly written, and other times poignant and spot on. Its saving grace is it's on at 10pm and I'm usually home then. That and I've been watching it in the same timeslot for 10 years and it still has the same actors we mostly started with. I am such a creature of habit. :-)

The Princess Bride!

Oklahoma, Kansas, California... and then France. That's kind of random, but very cool. Did you study there?

I get the feeling you like blue :) It happens to be my favorite color.

I'd love to visit Italy some day, just one of the many places I'd like to go.

I was actually a missionary for my church in France. I was there for thirteen months, in three different (southern) towns. I've been back as a tourist several times, which is great fun.

And yes, the places I've lived really are random! I only lived three months in L.A., though.

Blue is totally my (our) favorite color. *g*
