NOOOOO! The fourth season of (new) Doctor Who isn't available (yet?) for livestreaming through Netflix! This means I'm going to have to actually send back Ultraviolet disc two in order to watch more DW.
That does it. I'm buying Ultraviolet. So I can research and write Angie/Vaughan fic. And maybe Angie-Frances friendship fic. And oh, how about Vaughan interacting with Rose March, who is wanting to know his intentions toward her mother?!
I just added
spock_uhura to my LJ reading list the other day. Do those people ever stop posting? I wanted more fic, but this is ridiculous. (Okay, how sad is it that I'm complaining about too much fic. Apparently I'm just determined to be unhappy, y'all! And hey, why isn't there more activity at the
lifeonmartha comm? See? I cannot be pleased!)
Go read
taragel's new Kara fic, Faith Like Wings. It's beautiful. (Sort of an episode insert for 'Maelstrom' and totally awesome/sad.)
Okay, so guess what I'm busy doing during one of my last days of freedom before the work grind begins again: cleaning? writing? making cool beaded jewelry? NOPE. I'm asking Mr. Google for Twilight links in order to write the long-dreaded anticipated post about the series and my religion. Why am I mentioning this now when the post probably won't be done for ages? Because I had to share a sentence I stumbled across. One person's joking reaction to the horrid way in which Stephenie Meyer altered (hee, I almost wrote altared) the vampire mythology (at least, I assume it's joking):
I am personally disgusted and offended that fictional creatures like vampires have been further fictionalized by fiction writers into fictional representations so fictional from their former fiction that they're no longer anything but fictional.
*laughs forever*
I, uh, have nothing else to say after that.

This was a SERIOUS COMMENT? Wow. Someone needs a thesaurus, just for starters.
I'm so glad you're writing that post! :DDDD

eta: just went back and tried to find context for it, but it's a random quote stuck out there. Hm. But I figured it was definitely a joke, and a good one at that.

Okay, context for the 'Fictional Creatures' statement: apparently just a comment on this tee-shirt (http://www.fark.com/cgi/ordershirt.pl?IDLink=4567719). I think it definitely falls into the purposely funny category.
I have 14 trekfics (http://delicious.com/rose_griffes/star_trek%3Afic) bookmarked so far. Sort of a brief summary given for each one.

Hee, your tag. But it is anticipated by me! I'm very curious. :)
That comment is a new height of...something. Please tell me it was the last word if it was a part of a discussion, because I cannot even IMAGINE what you could say after it.

Ooh, bookmarks!

Your religion is vampirism?

Ahahaha! Apparently it was a comment on a vampire-related tee-shirt for sale. I'm not sure how Mister Google thought it was pertinent--though it was about Twilight, soooo... But it was definitely funny, yes. I plan to use it next time I see someone argue about how sparkly vampires are wrong.

Heck, at this point I'm curious as to what I'll say. ;-)
which is to say, I have so many thoughts in my head, I don't really know where to start...

Best comment ever. :D I think I need a shirt that says "My religion is vampirism" now.
Er, just in case context is lacking, the author of the Twilight series is LDS (Mormon). Me too. And I've been seeing a lot of analysis on the books and religious content done by people who have very little information about my church. It's tiresome, hence the

Yeah I didn't know that. That's cool. I look forward to that post, as I know next to nothing about the LDS. Glen Larson is a Mormon too, but I bet you knew that already.

Dude, there is NO WAY I will ever wear a tee-shirt with glittery Edward Cullen on it. Count Orlok would be perfect, actually. He's got the right face for a vampire religion, definitely.
