Look, it's a 'Lost' post!
Why is my LJ reading list not posting about Lost this week?!
See, this is getting interesting to me. For the longest time it looked like the sideways-verse life of the Losties was better for everyone. Sort of an ideal, hoped-for life for the people who instead had horrible experiences stuck on an island somewhere. In my opinion John Locke, Sun, Jin, Hurley, James (aka Sawyer), Ben Linus and, er, others, have a better existence in the sideways-verse. But Sayid is debatable. Charlie is showing us the cracks between sideways-verse and Island-world and now Desmond seems intent on... doing what exactly? I'm dismayed at the deliberate running-over of Locke, but what did Desmond mean by it? (And I'm dismayed mostly because Locke appeared to be at peace in this life, and I don't know if I want that to end for him.)
Hurley and Libby! They're just a sweet couple. Cheese!
Not-Locke pushed Desmond into a well! I'm betting he's only mostly dead.
Island Desmond was looking mighty fine throughout this episode.
Oh my goodness, Ilana! Every single thing she did with that bag made me wince--piling the water bottles in, putting the bag on the ground. Yup, I could see that coming.
So where's Juliet in sideways-world?! We still don't know!
Anyone have a link to next week's promo?

I've seen a couple theories about Desmond mowing Locke down in the parking lot. 1) That he's trying to show Locke the truth of his life, since alterna!people seem to remember via near-death experiences or contact with their loved ones. 2) That he's trying to kill Locke in this body so that he'll somehow reclaim his body in the island!verse. 3) That it was really Not-Locke just pretending to be Locke. Um. Yeah. I think it's probably #1, but you never know with this show.

I've enjoyed the sideways world a bunch this season. Things are getting more complicated with it now, though.
Desmond hitting Locke to show him some kind of truth is... weird. But I totally wouldn't put it past the show to use that reason.

But since I can theorize at the least provocation *g*..... I'm starting to think the Sideways verse is like the Matrix -- not a "reward" or the epilogue, like I had thought, but is a dream/false reality. I think Desmond did it to "wake" Locke up, just like he woke up Hurley, and since near-death experience woke up Desmond, I guess he figures it would wake up Locke. Awfully risky though. (Unless the other prevailing theory, that he was just pissed because Faux-Locke had just thrown him down a well, is right).
ILANAAAAAA! boo. I liked her.
Juliet is at the hospital, I bet, because the hospital is turning into the Center Vortex of Dooooom of the Sideways Verse...
I have no link, but the promo is AWESOME and CRACKTASTIC

Yeah, that makes sense with the recent developments. Certainly earlier in the season it seemed pretty idyllic (relatively speaking, since these characters are non-stop angsty even in sideways verse).

Wasn't he? His hair looked very fine indeed. And I'm starting to notice Richard. And I have a soft spot for Daniel and well, I have other reasons to watch Lost. :-)
But Sayid is debatable.
My poor boy. *pets* And because he knows he's probably doomed he trimmed those locks that should never see a scissor. :-(
This ep was kind of long for me. And Michael. Really didn't need to see him. You killed Libby, Michael! I'm not as chill about that as Hugo was.
Juliet is so in a hospital. But she's also on V which is probably why we haven't seen her yet. :-)

As much as I resent Michael for that, I also just feel really bad for him. He had one of the most miserable story arcs of any character on the show, and that's saying a lot.

Yup, it's a pretty, pretty cast. Even the not-traditionally-handsome types (like Desmond and Jacob) have their moments.
