fic rec and Very Important Poll

*happy bounce* Hey f'list, daybreak777 has posted her first (public) fic! It's called Perchance to Dream, and it's set during the Occupation on New Caprica. Kara, Kacey, Leoben; massive angst and creepiness. What else do I need to say, go read it!

I think a poll is in order to determine a very serious question: who is more emo, Jack Shepherd of Lost or Lee "Apollo" Adama of Battlestar Galactica?

Who's more likely to go off with another woman in a snit when his true love abandons him?
Lee won in my answers but only by this question. Poor Lee. I don't even have an Leemo icon (though there are plenty I could choose from). Just a slightly scruffy one.

Hi! I'm here by way of lunar47. I LOVE the poll! I never thought about the Jack/Lee emo connection before, but it's all so clear to me now. I thought I wouldn't be able to rank which is more emo, but the questions helped. Lee wins. Poor guy. I think Lee's a wee bit more romantic and way more idealistic than Jack.

And the Prufrock sneakage is excellent! My lit-geek heart soars!

Oh woes, poor emo Lee. I think you're right, Lee's more idealistic and therefore more hurt when things don't match that ideal. Plus, y'know, destruction of most of humanity kind of tilts the emo-scale his way.

I really can't stop the Jack hate so I made Lee so much more emo (cuz then he's sympathetic). I sadly want to slap both Jack and Kate silly and then let locke rule the island with Benry. Or at least that's what I tell myself will happen next season, lol.

I don't hate Jack but his emo-ness gets on my nerves sometimes... and so does Lee's, hence this poll.
