just three more weeks!!!

I forgot Mothers' Day! Okay, I didn't actually forgot my own mother last week, I just forgot to say anything here. So: Happy (belated) Mothers' Day to everyone who acts as a mother figure to others.

My mom is awesome and lovely. I'm so incredibly fortunate to have her.

Also, happy Victoria Day (one day early) to the Canadians out there! Do you get the day off from work?

I have a semi-real reason for posting. Have any of you spent time in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area (Minnesota)? I'll probably be there for a week in July, and I'm just wondering if I should stay longer and do fun stuff while I'm there. Maybe I should keep going north and go to Canada? (Yes, I realize it's not all that close to the border... but hey, it's a lot closer than where I live!) Or go to Wisconsin?

I used to have relatives in Wisconsin. We visited there in August the summer I was thirteen. I have never been so cold in August in my life. My relatives said it was fine and that we were big wimps--then we found their thermal underwear in the laundry.
