eta: don't know if it's going to do any good but I did find an e-mail to try: feedback @ avos dot com. I've sent a couple of specific messages about how the new format doesn't work for me, and what needs to be returned to make the service usable. I've also imported my bookmarks to an html file, which... well. It's in chronological order with no visible tags, but at least the bookmarks are there. So if I find a service to use instead of delicious.com, I can eventually put some of those bookmarks back online.

I'm seriously teary-eyed. I have a work-related delicious.com account that has been rendered unusable at this point.

I have links. I have lots of links. They're just almost impossible to access in any easy way, since the only tags that display are those for the ten links on the page at that moment. So how am I supposed to search for fic by character, or find my sewing tags if I haven't made saved any sewing bookmarks lately? Or or or or...

When I saw the mess that was made of the site I immediately thought of you, you put so much work into your tags and your BSG recs were such a useful resource.

I hope this gets fixed, and quickly. In the meantime, RAGE.

I'm just bewildered at all of it. I can see introducing new services, but rendering the main services unusable seems like a really bad business model. And introducing changes that aren't fully developed also seems like a bad plan.

Even I can't search my own BSG bookmarks. It's infuriating.

I have done two things in the new format: 1) change my userpic from that stupid badger drawing (it looked like a banana/penis) to a box that says "not a badger" and 2) subscribed to this stack: http://www.delicious.com/stacks/view/H1RqU4
