TV this week
My brief reaction to Community, Parks and Recreation, Revenge and Person of Interest. Oh, and Once Upon a Time.
Community 3.08: I'm not sure what I think. It was interesting. Definitely creeped out by Jeff as Dean Pelton.
Parks and Recreations 4.08: OOOOOH, THEIR FACES AND THEN THEY KISSED AND.... *flails* And there's the campaign and their jobs and ... so, yeah, I don't know what I think about it either.
Revenge 1.08: I think we're done, show. Too many things to keep track of, not enough motivation to do so. Sorry Amanda. I like you a lot.
Person of Interest 1.08: I still can't figure out why I'm so drawn to this show, but I've already watched the episode twice. And I want fic about Stanton, the operative who shot those two men. Still want fic about Carter as well. Maybe we'll get a first name for her next episode? Though if this show is modelled after The Pretender, we may never get a first name.
Also: "I'm a sucker for surveillance." HEEEEE, Finch, you sinister man! Also also: Stanton's line about how John needed to know that this was the right thing; then poor John being stuck with the bodies and her injunction about not leaving any teeth or fingertips (for the bodies to be identified) and... I really liked Stanton, did I mention that? Other than Carter, there are no recurring female characters (yet--I still have hopes for Zoe Morgan coming back), but it has done well by the women guest stars. Or I'm just inclined to perceive them all in a really good light.
I need to check if Amazon sells episodes for the show.
Once Upon a Time 1.04: I liked episode 3 better, when Snow White koshed Prince Charming on the head. But I'm still enjoying the show and hoping for interesting things from it.
Haven't watched Prime Suspect yet--mostly because I've been procrastinating on grading papers. The show works really well for that purpose.
Like Liz, I've been (obsessively) checking the Yuletide fandoms sign-up sheet. All of my requested fandoms now have offers! Just one offer for The Passage, though, and two requests. All of the fandoms I offered to write have requests.
I finished a draft of my epic Sam Anders fic. At this point it's over 9000 words. See? Totally epic--for me, anyway.
