A year ago I started a Tumblr for fannish stuff about Person of Interest. And now I think I'm gonna log out and stay away for a while, because Tumblr is making me a tired and cranky fan of the show. I hear that if you follow other people rather than going in the main tags, you can avoid the inevitable ridiculousness about ships (Mine's right! Yours is wrong!) and characters ("Let me tell in excruciating detail why I hate the character you love!"), but I don't think it's worth the trouble right now. Soooooo... stayed logged out for an indefinite period of time. Maybe for Lent? Hm, could be.

I really get it now. Person of Interest fandom was pretty small when I first went there, which made it a generally easy-going place. And it was my refuge from the badly-modded LJ comm. But it doesn't feel like a refuge now. (And yeah, I can't ever stop myself from checking the main tag. *sigh*)

I'm not sure how to feel about avoiding Tumblr making me fannishly happier, since Tumblr is apparently where fandom is going to be now. :/

Yeah, I know. :(

I still don't know how Tumblr earns a profit, by the way. It is a mystery.
