I woke up at 5:20 a.m. I was dreaming that I was teaching and had decided to show a streaming video without previewing it. It had bits of nudity. There was a parent in the classroom when this happened, and she left the room in a huff with her son, refusing to listen to my apologies.

*freaks out*

No, I would never show a video without watching ahead of time. Oy, stupid dream-brain. (And when's the last time I even had a parent my classroom during class?!)

I have a friend who lost her job over showing a rated-R movie in her classroom. This is serious stuff in my school district.

Oh, Rose. I am so sorry about your friend. Wow. Yeah, I can tell you'd never not preview. Sorry for bad dreams, they happen.

Thanks. I did get some sleep later, which helps push the 'reset' button in my brain. Heh. Brains are so weird.

The friend's job situation was a bit more complex than just showed movie-->lost job, but happily she's doing well at her new place.
