Wow, nothing says excitement and adventure like doing your tax forms on a Saturday night. On the plus side, I'm getting a return. Maybe a laptop computer is in my future? Or finally upgrading my current computer monitor to something big and HD. (I do recommend TurboTax; it was a helpful program, and easy to access online.)

Getting ready for church right now means typing up a few more New Testament thoughts from scripture study this week. Matthew 18, Luke 10 )

I don't have access to regular TV channels, but just listening to the news about Japan on the radio and reading reports/seeing photos online is... well. Insert the adjective of your choice here, because nothing seems to suffice to cover the scope of the situation. My thoughts and prayers are with those dealing with the aftermath.

I'm debating whether I should respond to the comments left on my Yuletide stories. Not being able to answer them for a week has left me feeling a bit distant. (I did post replies to the two intended recipients.)

It's a new year! It always takes a bit of time for that to feel real to me. At church we switch our curriculum for Sunday School at the beginning of a new year, so now I have that closure on 2010/start for 2011 feeling. We're doing the New Testament this year, and it occurs to me that I might benefit from a bit of processing on what we go over in class.

Therefore... New Testament stuff! )

Huh. I'm not sure if my userpic is appropriate or vaguely sacrilegious... *laughs*

Happy Easter, everyone! (It's probably no longer Easter as most of you read this, but oh well.) I didn't have work Friday so I went north to visit relatives.

Current temperature 36 degrees F (2 C). Expected high 38 degrees F (3 C). And it's raining. Ick.

In other news, I am a Bible scholar.
