Max Factor is no longer marketing their makeup line in the US. This would explain why I can't find my favorite lipstick or mascara anywhere. Drugstore.com is the only company selling any of their products to US customers, and the limited products they offer aren't the ones I used.

To quote a three-year-old I once knew, "Don't tell me that!"

It's the mascara more than the lipstick. I like lipfinity, but there are other long-lasting lipsticks out there that I find acceptable. But mascara? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FIND A MASCARA I LIKE NOW?!

p.s. Yes, I'm mostly ignoring LJ right now, because of real-life hecticness (yes, that is a word, shut up spellchecker), but THIS IS IMPORTANT!

I didn't mention my mascara-induced almost-meltdown last weekend, did I? Well, let me tell you... Max Factor is my favorite brand of makeup for mascara and lipstick, and it was suddenly gone from the grocery store megacorp where I usually shop. (Evilly, of course, since it is an evil megacorp.) So I stopped by another grocery store megacorp (one that has apparently been deemed less evil, though I'm not sure why), and no luck there. Getting a bit panicky, I went to two different pharmacies and still no Max Factor. After I came back home I went online and the company website tells me that number one evil grocery story store megacorp is supposed to have their brand. But they don't, at least not in my city. But wait--another grocery store chain is also on the list! Hallelujah! So I drove there late at night and bought the three remaining packages they had of black 'Lash Perfection.'

So what's up with that? Don't these people realize how important mascara is?!

On a completely unrelated note, if the yogurt-making process goes smoothly today, I'll write a post about it, maybe tomorrow. (I've made my own yogurt before, but that was several years and a different heating pad ago.)

Okay, I'd better go run a few more errands before I sit here at the computer again. Things to do then:
-read over other person's fic
-read over my current draft of Martha fic; maybe send it to beta-readers?
-start thinking about a livejournal wishlist
-leave feedback on [livejournal.com profile] lls_mutant's big bang fic
-turn off the computer in time to see that play with my students in it this afternoon

Today for church I chose another Ralph Vaughan Williams tune for the congregation. That's my second within the six months that I've been choosing the hymns we sing. We only have four in our hymn book, out of over 300 songs. Guess what kind of church music I like?! And in choir practice after church we started rehearsing a song based on a Mozart melody. Love those classics.
