LJ doesn't want me to express myself; also, I attempt to end a horrifying trend by joining in.

It's Friday night! And I'm more than a little excited about staying home and catching up on Missing. (Last weekend had enough fun to last for a few weeks.)

My extra LJ userpics have expired. *sigh* I still have several weeks left on my paid account--which I will definitely renew--but I can't decide about the userpics.

Change of topic: I haven't talked about clothes in ages. How many times have I ranted about skinny jeans and tunic tops? Well, I'm trying a new tactic: wear them myself in an attempt to bring an end to the look. (Because teenagers seeing their un-cool teacher wearing clothes like theirs should definitely bring about a change, don't you think?)

I still don't think skinny jeans are the most flattering look for me, and tunic tops are hit or miss--it depends on the cut. This one isn't bad, although like the jeans, there are definitely more flattering styles out there for me for everyone. *shrugs* So... we'll see if I have managed to bring about the end of Western civilization stop this whole skinny jeans trend by owning and wearing a pair.

PS (or should that be PP--post post): this is the casually chic 'end of the workday' wrinkled look. ;-P

Missing is not that good (or it hasn't been yet, I may revise my opinion once I catch up), but it hits a lot of my favorite things: angsty ex-spies whose pasts won't let them go, combative women with guns, parent figures, pretty European cities... It was filmed in Europe, and it looks amazing.

This season is only going to be ten episodes long, so it wouldn't be that difficult to give it a try. Basic idea: Becca Winstone used to work for the CIA; now her son has been kidnapped and she's trying to get him back.
