I'm seriously considering signing up for the BIG remix thingy this year. The multifandom one. The one I've been terrified of ever since I heard of it--yeah, that one.

Due dates for stories and such will make a big difference because of real-life stuff but... ack! I can't believe I'm even thinking about it!

If I take the plunge, what fandoms should I include that I could remix? Obviously Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who and Life, but maybe I could remix something for Firefly or Lost as well...

Uses clips from Dollhouse, Firefly/Serenity, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and what aycheb calls "creepy youtube vids." Someone recced this Clark Kent (Smallville) vid over at bsgvidrecs and it's so pretty! Or Tom Welling is so pretty, or something. I haven't even watched more than the first season of the show, but I still watched the vid all the way through.

kaydeefalls made the Doctor Who vid of the show I'm actually watching most of the time: the awesome women of new DW.

This series of clips of Uhura and Spock from the original Star Trek just made me go awwwww... And ?!? at the length--or non-length--of Uhura's dress back then.

eta: Sad news: Dick Francis passed away. I really enjoyed his books.

Do eeet! Yeah, I'm a big help, aren't I? I'm so doing it again. I always have a blast. Although I have so few I could remix. I only have the two I qualify for (HP and BSG), and then I'd be willing to try Firefly, and maaaaybe West Wing, but writing West Wing scares me (I am NOT a politician, and I'm not much of a Josh/Donna shipper, either. It makes it hard).

But it is fun!

I would only qualify to be remixed in BSG fandom, so whoever would end up remixing my stuff would have not much choice at all. (I've written just 2 DW fics and one for Life.) But... there's a lot of BSG stuff, so that should help, right? And I can certainly write other fandoms with a starting point fic to help. I think.

I'm still mulling over the idea, and waiting to see what due date they'll have.

So... I'm considering trying to write three more Doctor Who fics before sign-ups. Are crossovers allowed to count? Because I already have two DW/BSG ideas. I also have an idea for a series of connected ficlets about Mickey Smith (from DW) that aren't crossovers, so I'm trying to figure out where to focus my energy.

Er. If you don't know, I'll just put that question on one of the remix_lounge posts. :)

This sound fun to me but I would have to write some stuff for other fandoms. I could do some Roswell candy stuff fairly easily and maybe some more gen Firefly and maybe even Animorphs if I read a couple books between now and then. Although I meant to do three new BSG fics between signing and assignments going out for that remix and it never happened. I find I am never short of ideas for fic its just actually producing something that doesn't suck like a black hole that's the sticking point.
