Hahaha, a post about Fringe on Christmas Eve? No one is ever going to read this but me. spoilers for Fringe, end of season two-early season three )

And that's probably the end of the Fringe binge until the relatives are gone again. (If anyone does read this, please don't spoil me for more stuff. I already know more spoilers than I'd like.

Day three of The Killing spoilers about that thing I don't like )

I want "How Sarah and Rick met" fic now. CKR was pretty adorable as Rick in the opening episode. And the joking about Candy Cane was cute. I want fic, with Linden being stoic and Rick getting past her armor. Apparently the novelty of Rennie the non-creepy boyfriend is REALLY INTERESTING, in spite of his brief screen time.

Moving on. spoilers for everything else in the episode )

Fringe: spoilers through 2.15 "Jacksonville" save me (from spoilers)! )

In other Fringe-related news, I'm writing Peter Bishop fic. Yes, really. There's already a Shakespeare reference. Possibly this is another sign of the impending end of the world(s).

I've had Fringe DVDs (seasons one and two) now for two weeks. They're still in their boxes. *sigh* So here's a quick wrap-up of what I watched before I actually got the DVDs.

spoilers through 2.12 )

As for other TV: SCC 1.08 recap post.

We've started posting fics at [livejournal.com profile] bsg_remix, so go read! I need to look over notes from my beta-reader and poke at my own remix some more. Right now it's too... [redacted].

Cross-posting from DW to LJ didn't work, so I copy/pasted this.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I totally forgot about it when I was getting dressed this morning.

I'm still talking about Fringe. Gah. I'm seriously tempted to order the DVD's, because now I have questions and I want to rewatch some of the episodes and I'm also curious about the other features available and... talk me out of this?
Never mind. Just ordered them, both seasons one and two.

Anyway! Speaking of useless talking, I'm going to write about a character that almost no one on my f'list truly likes: Peter Bishop. Apparently that "No one likes him, so I will!" defense has been activated.

loveable rogue/caretaker )

And now: fun with Joshua Jackson! "Peter is a really dumb smart guy." (very short clip, not spoilery at all)

More: "Peter is a shallow, venal, hedonistic, nihilistic man." (Heee! Oh, Joshua Jackson. Vaguely spoilery for mid-season one.)

TV that isn't Fringe: This week's SCC rewatch post is now online.

I succumbed and started reading fanfic for Fringe. Observations:

1) BOLIVIA?! Really? (an Olivia Dunham/Peter Bishop portmanteau)

2) When exactly on the show was Peter brutishly dominant and Oliva timidly submissive? Also: "Oh Peter," the blonde agent whispered. Ahahahahaha, I'm not sure who the blonde agent is, but clearly she's not Oliva Dunham.

3) When you don't know the fandom well and don't have a handle on the authors there's a pile of fic to sort through to find the good stuff. (A small pile since this is a small fandom, but still...) This is made more difficult when trying to avoid (more) spoilers for the second half of the show. (I've watched through 2.04 so far. And I'm downloading 2.05 and it's taking forever. Why is this? Sometimes when I'm downloading a TV episode from Amazon, it's done in 15 minutes, but it's been over two hours so far and it's not even halfway done.)

4) Not really a fanfic thing, but when did Joshua Jackson suddenly become attractive? I'm bewildered by this turn of events. (It might be the change in hairstyle in late season one.)

5) I'm not sure why, but it irritates me to see 'Livia in dialogue. Yet I'm fine with the shortened Liv.

6) Apparently the season two episode "Jacksonville" must be all kinds of exciting. I think I've seen more fics tagged as spoilery for that episode than any other episode. Especially in the Olivia/Peter section of fandom.

Here's the Fringe fic I've found and liked so far. A little bit of everyone. Hm, except Nina Sharpe.

Feel free to link me to good fic that doesn't contain spoilers past 2.04.

Boo: LJ is still not sending me comment notifications in a timely fashion. Sorry if I seem to have dropped a conversation; I'm not deliberately trying to ignore anyone.

Yay: I bought some gorgeous fabric and I'm buying a dress pattern for it as soon as the next sale begins.

Boo: I hate daylight savings time.

Ah, well. On to other topics. I've watched TV and a movie and read some books. TV: Fringe! Finished season one! )

movie: Tangled )

books so far (sadly blah) )

TV post. If you're rewaching SCC, here's the 1X04 rewatch post. (Hah, stupid LJ didn't let me know about the comments there. Looks like I have some replies to make.)

More Fringe. Spoilers through episode 17 of season one, in particular 14-17. I think I have mental whiplash )

Okay, this week I need to rewatch BSG's "The Plan" one more time (and take notes) so I can send that disk back to Netflix and be ready to start on season two of Fringe as soon as I'm done watching season one on the WB's website.

Hm. I need a Fringe icon. Either Olivia Dunham or one of those cool black-and-white organic thingy pics they do at commercial breaks.

Dear self,

I think we're agreed that watching an episode of Fringe right before going to bed is a bad idea, yes? Let's not do that again.

Thanks ever so much,
me

P.S. WATCH OUT FOR THE IMAGINARY BUTTERFLIES, THEY ARE SCARY!

a few thoughts about Fringe, halfway through season one, not spoilery except for the premise (spoilery for 'Lost,' though) )

Um. I think that's all I have to say about it. Posting this so I'll get off the computer and do my piano practicing. And balance my checking account like one ought to do from time to time.

eta: the discussion post for TSCC episode 1X02 is finally up, so... go discuss!
